AV equipment can be controlled via IR codes (switch channel, adjust volume etc) or discrete codes (special code which replace several manual actions).
If receiver has DSP modes–Digital Signal Processing–like “Dolby Digital”, or “Jazz Club” you should choose the support of DSP modes for your device.
