There is an original method to transmit digital TV to any room without cable connection. This is a Scart AV Sender. Just plug in it to the SCART socket of the VCR/DVD/SAT and into the SCART input port of TV or monitor. It’s really cool! For example, in case wall mounted TV/LCD/Plasma you don’t need to think how hide cables.
Hmm, SCART is analogue interface isn’t it? Having analogue signlal retransmitted over the air will add additional distortion to it. I’d not risk adding extra distortion especially if viewing on a large LCD screen.
You are right. Unfortunately, I don’t have this gadget in my hand to test it. But when I watched analog satellite TV I didn’t see any distortion. Also, remember that TV in Russia is/was analog. I don’t think that there will be some distortion if you will use Scart AV Sender in the flat.
