I’d recommend getting a smartphone and using a proper RSS aggregator as the alternative to this. But to each his own. 🙂
I agree with you but many people have ordinary mobile phones without possibility to read RSS. Sure this service cannot be used to read RSS. As I understand it just notifies about updates. It might be useful to know about new release of some software, for example.
