mail_reader.pl is a simple Perl script which implement a web interface to the POP3 mail box. It allows to see a list of messages and delete all of them. Put that script into your CGI-bin directory, make it executable and see your mail box.

This is a simple script which helps you to make a list of thumbnails of your pictures list. To see how to use it type $ img2thumbnail.pl –help img2thumbnail.pl

I’ve released a preview of IMDB::Film 0.10. I’ve added a possibility to get an information about IMDB persons: full name, mini bio, photo path and filmography. Also, I’ve fixed a couple of bugs. It’s available to download on Sourceforge.

I’ve released a new version of IMDB::Film – Perl interface to the movie database IMDB.com. Changes: – added possibility to retrieve a full movie plot; – fixed a bug with extraction movie title and production data in case of search movie by its title or fragmet of title; – fixed bugs with test. IMDB::Film can be downloaded from CPAN and Sourceforge.

I’ve released a new my Embperl control – Weather Report. That control retrieves, caches and displays current weather report and weather forecast for specified location. You can see example of using that control on my site.

I’ve released a first version of VideoGuide – a web interface to the movies library. Features: Manually add, edit or drop properties of movie: title, description, cover image. Possibility to comment and rate specified movie. Possibility to download specified movie via HTTP. Retrieve movie data for specified ID or title from IMDB.com. Automatically scan directories which contain movies and add them into VideoGuide.

Today GNOME 2.9.1 and Java-GNOME 2.9.1 (development versions) were released. There are many bugfixes mainly (see NEWS file on GNOME FTP server).

I’d like to announce a release of Java-Gnome 2.8.1. There were implemeted some new features and fixed many bugs. Java-GNOME is a set of Java bindings for the GNOME and GTK libraries that allow GNOME and GTK applications to be written in Java.
