GNU Gnash Flash Player

As I know Macromedia refused requests about support 64 bit architectures in the Flash Player. The reaction of open source community was simple: new opena source flash player should be created! The old project GPLFlash was reanimated. Now it joined with Gnash – GNU Flash movie player. Let’s see how Macromedia will concurent with it.

Skype is a small change

Skype adds Intel-only calling features. I’m not regular user of Skype but I think this is not a good idea. Intel loses a competition with AMD. And Skype grows very fast. So, it seems Intel decided to use Skype as a small change to strike a blow to AMD. It reeks!

New USB Skype phone

Japanise company RWC is going to release a new USB Skype phone – iTAN B1. It will have DSP (Echo Cancellation) which is very important when you talk via Internet not usual phone line. Unfortunatelly, the phone will support only Windows Me/2000/XP. So, Linux users should find another solution.
