I’ve added two new categories: SugarCRM and Request Tracker which will contain some useful (I hope) information about one of the best CRM – SugarCRM and one of the best Request Tracker system – RT. I work with both. So, probably my posts will be helpful for other people.

MINI Meeting
Last Sunday all owners of MINI met near McDonalds in tourist area. Unfortunatelly, I knew about it only when I and Maria went to the night club to dance and relax. There were many funny cars and people. A small yellow MINI was transported on the platform along the sea and from time to time it made some big noise with its engine. It was very funny 🙂
It’s sad that nobody annouced the meeting and I didn’t know about it. But anyway you are released to watch hundred pictures of MINI 🙂
RT Essentials
Our company uses RT (Request Tracker) for long time and I play sometimes with it to customize for our business.
RT is an enterprise-grade ticketing system which enables a group of people to intelligently and efficiently manage tasks, issues, and requests submitted by a community of users.
RT is a pure Perl application and in my mind it can be shown as the best example of OOP on Perl! As template system RT uses Mason – the most power and famous template system for Perl.
Recently I’ve discovered that O’Reilly is going to publish a book about RT – RT Essentials. The book is coming to order in August. So, that book will be helpful to understand how develop and customize RT.

Damian Conway is an author of Object Oriented Perl resently published on Perl.com an very interesting article – Ten Essential Development Practices. There are 10 useful and helpful recomendations how to produce a good-looking Perl code. Damian Conway is a great man in Perl community. So, you can trast him and to consider his opinion.
Those tips came from his new book which was published O’Reilly: Perl Best Practices. Think that book should stay together with Effective Perl Programming on bookshelf each Perl developer
SimpleKDE
People who use Linux as desktop operation system complain that KDE is huge and heavy. But, in my mind, currently KDE is the best desktop environment. This is de facto. So, to involve using KDE more users (especially ordinary Linux users) to use it and make it easier the project SimpleKDE was forked from KDE.
Basically, SimpleKDE will be lightweight desktop environment for UNIX and UNIX based operating systems. Also, the good advantage SimpleKDE is a possibility to have a live CD (it’s very popular now).
The project is currently maintained by Turkix Foundation. Have a look it. It might be interesing.
The Next Cinema Target!
After watching a trailer of latest movie of Michael Bay (Bad Boys I and http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0172156/, Armageddon and Pearl Harbor) The Island I’ve decided to go to cinema if I’ll have a chance to watch that movie. Based on previous movies of Michael Bay I don’t expect to see something like Sin City (I didn’t watch it but people talk that it’s masterpiece!). I expect a great special effects, nice playing of Ewan McGregor
and interesting story!
The world premier of “The Island” will be 22 July. In Limassol theaters it will be played only in August I think!
