Latina Night

Last Friday me and Maria went to the Latina Night which was in Pissuri amphitheatre. The live band played a fiery latina music and people danced. Some of them did that very professionally. Others danced just for fun (including us 🙂 ). Also there was a cool dude – DJ from Athens who spoke Spanish very well and taught us latina dance. We had a good time. The new photo album you can see here!

New Limassol Cinema Schedule

A Lot Like Love
I’ve updated cinema schedule only today (it was very busy week for me). It seems theatres have a summer rest because there are not many new movies. Some premiers (“Madagascar”, “Sin City”, “The Island”) were shifted on the end of August and begin of September. Well, let’s wait.

On this week two new movies started: romantic comedy “A Lot Like Love” with Ashton Kutcher in the key role and horror “House of Wax” which is a remake of “House of Wax” (1953). I like Ashton since then I watched “Dude, Where’s My Car?”. I was also not disappointed of “Guess Who”. Probably “A Lot Like Love” is nice movie too.
The funny thing happend with “Fantastic Four”:
both teatres “Rio” and “K-Cineplex” put it in 4th hall 🙂

Busy Week

This week is very busy for us. Yesteday we had a conversation with our flat owner (it was disgusting). Today I and Maria went to Russian Embassy in Nicosia. We spent half a day to do our business. We woke up in 6 am (belive me this is a feat for night-birds!). Tonight we are going to be on party with DJ Tiesto in Nicosia (yes, we are brave 🙂 ). The party starts at 21:00 in Cyprus State Fair Grounds and Tiesto plays three hours mix. Then I have to go to Russian Embassy again to finalize our business on Friday and we are going to go to Pissuri on latina party at night! Let’s wish us good luck 🙂

XML/SWF Charts

During my work with SugarCRM I’ve found an intersting tool to generate charts – XML/SWF Charts. This is a simple tool based on Macromedia Flash and XML. You need to create a simple XML file which contains data and chart parameters and pass it to SWF script. This approach can be used on Perl, PHP etc. It’s simple, power and looks very attractive (much better than pictures generated by GD::Graph, for example).
Another advantage of XML/SWF Charts is an interaction. All elements on the chart can poit on some web pages or others charts. It’s useful when you want to display details for specified chart item.
I didn’t play with XML/SWF Charts closely but I’m going to do that next two-three days. After that I’ll write my senses from that tool.
